Privacy Policy — Mil Almas: Éxodo
In short: we do not run any servers of our own, we have no user accounts, and the game contains no advertising and no advertising identifier. We never receive your personal data. The game does include gameplay analytics, and it is switched off until you explicitly allow it — it measures how the game is played, never who you are, and you can turn it off again at any moment. Everything else is handled by Google through the Play services the game integrates, and it is described in full below.
1. Data handled through Google services
Google Play Billing (in-app purchases)
- The game offers optional purchases (characters, weapon licences, gold and essence). Payment is processed entirely by Google Play. The game never sees or stores card numbers, bank details or billing addresses.
- Google Play returns to the game the purchase history of its own products — which items you own and their transaction identifiers. It is used only to deliver what you bought, restore it if you reinstall, and avoid charging you twice. It is not shared with anyone.
Google Play Games (player profile, achievements and cloud save)
- Your Play Games profile. If Google Play Games is available and you sign in, the game receives your Play Games player identity: a player ID and your public profile (your gamertag and avatar). That identity is what your achievements and your cloud save are attached to, so they can follow you from one device to another. The game does not receive your email address, your real name, or any other private detail of your Google account — only the public Play Games profile. You decide who can see that profile (Only you / Friends / Everyone) from your Google account, and the game never stores it on any server of ours — we do not run any.
- Signing in is optional. It is the automatic system prompt shown by Google Play Games and appears once. If you decline, the game works completely normally — no player identity is used, no achievements are mirrored and nothing is saved to the cloud. The game never asks again with dialogs of its own.
- Achievements. When you unlock one, the game mirrors it to your Play Games profile so it also appears there.
- Cloud save. Your game progress — runs played, essence, upgrades, unlocked characters, records, biomes and themes discovered, and the purchase ledger needed to restore your purchases — is stored in your own Google account through Play Games saved games. Only you can reach it.
Google Play In-App Updates
- The game asks the Play Store whether a newer version of itself exists, so it can tell you. No personal data is involved in this check.
Google Analytics for Firebase and Crashlytics (gameplay analytics) — only with your consent
- It is off until you say yes. The first time you open the game, a screen asks you. Until you tap ACCEPT, nothing at all is collected or sent: the component ships disabled and stays that way if you decline or never answer.
- What is sent if you accept. Only how the game is played: the character you chose, the difficulty, how many minutes the run lasted, the level you reached, kills, bosses defeated, and whether it ended in victory or defeat. Plus, if the game closes unexpectedly, the technical crash report (where and why the program failed). It is used to balance the game and fix bugs.
- What is never sent. Your name, your Google account, your Play Games profile,
your save file, your purchases, or the Android advertising ID. The
com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_IDpermission is deliberately removed from the package and collection of that identifier is disabled. No advertising profile of you is created — the game has no ads at all. - You can change your mind at any time in Options → Gameplay data. Turning it off stops collection immediately, without restarting the game.
Google's processing of any of the above is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
2. Android permissions
| Permission | What it is for |
|---|---|
INTERNET | Talking to Google Play (purchases, achievements, cloud save, update check). |
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE | Checking whether there is a connection before attempting the above. |
com.android.vending.BILLING | In-app purchases through Google Play. |
VIBRATE | Haptic feedback when you take a hit or use your ability. Can be switched off in Options. |
WAKE_LOCK | Added by the analytics component so it can finish sending its data before the device sleeps. |
…BIND_GET_INSTALL_REFERRER_SERVICE | Asks Google Play which store listing the install came from. Added by the analytics component; identifies no one. |
None of these identify you by themselves. The game requests no access to location, camera,
microphone, contacts, phone, files or external storage, and it uses no advertising
identifier. The analytics library would otherwise have added three advertising permissions —
com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID,
android.permission.ACCESS_ADSERVICES_AD_ID and
android.permission.ACCESS_ADSERVICES_ATTRIBUTION — and all three are
stripped from the package on purpose. This is verifiable: run
aapt2 dump permissions on the installed APK and the list above is exactly what you
will see.
3. Data on your device
- Your progress is stored in a local file inside the app's private storage, which other apps cannot read. It is deleted when you uninstall the game.
- The game keeps a small local crash log to help diagnose failures. This file never leaves your device on its own: it is only ever sent if you choose to send it, using your own mail or messaging app, and you see its full contents before doing so. It is separate from the Crashlytics reports described in section 1, which travel automatically but only if you consented to analytics.
- If Android's system backup is enabled on your device, that local file may be included in your Google account backup. That process is governed by your Google account settings, not by this game.
4. Deleting your data
- Local progress: uninstall the game, or go to Settings → Apps → Mil Almas: Éxodo → Storage → Clear data.
- Cloud save: delete this game's data from your Google account's Play Games settings (Play Games → Settings → Delete Play Games data).
- Analytics: turn off Options → Gameplay data and collection stops immediately. To have what was already sent deleted as well, write to the address below saying so.
- Anything else: write to nadeon@gmail.com and it will be answered within 30 days.
5. Your rights
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your personal data, and to object to its processing. We run no servers and hold no database of our own: we never receive your name, your account or any contact detail. The only processing we are responsible for is the gameplay analytics described in section 1 — which happens only if you consented, and which you can withdraw at any time from Options → Gameplay data (withdrawing is as easy as consenting, and the game works exactly the same either way). That analytics data carries no name, account or advertising ID — only a random identifier of the installation that the analytics tool generates, which we cannot connect to you because we hold no other data about you. For data held by Google through the services above, exercise your rights through your Google account or with Google directly. For any question about this policy, or to request deletion of analytics data already sent, write to nadeon@gmail.com.
6. Children
The game asks for and collects no personally identifying data from any user, minors included: the analytics described above measure only how the game is played, ship switched off, and carry no advertising identifier. The Google services listed above operate under the parental settings of the Google account on the device.
7. Changes to this policy
If a future version of the game changes any of the points above, this policy will be updated before that version is published.
